2009 as we know, will be an extremely tough year for many businesses here with the global credit crunch and the parity of the currencies against Sterling. What you need to ask yourself is how are you going to tackle this problem?

Marketing Budgets!

How much money are you or your company spending each month by advertising in the local newspapers? Seriously, how much have you spent this year? How many leads has this produced? How many sales did you achieve from these leads? If the answer is 1 sale then it has cost you how much you spent on that advertising campaign. If  it's zero, it's just a waste of money, don't you agree? This is nothing more than financial suicide, so how can we help each other?

Partners in Property looked at what is happening in today's changing world. Our clients are far more educated about what products are on the market, prices, finance and how to buy them easily and conveniently, all without leaving the comfort of their own home or office, just like yourself reading this.

We believe that in working together and promoting a joint front we can all mutally benefit and in 2009 are looking at three ways to market our products.

Property Exhibitions - many people believe that this is not a viable option, however, we attended the NEC Property Exhibition "A Place in the Sun" in September 2008 and generated more than 80 leads who have expressed a genuine interest in buying a property in Portugal within the following 12 months.
We since have had five inspection visits of which three have bought a proeprty whilst they were with us, whilstthe other two clients will be returning in 2009. The other leads will either be visiting Portugal in 2009 and/or holding off and watching what will happen. In the meantime our staff are in constant contact with the clients and building up trust and rapport so that when the time is right, they will be coming over through Partners in Property.

In 2009 we intend to attend a number of select property exhibitions, by going as a co-operative we can have a bigger presence at the shows promoting the whole of the Algarve and Portugal. This way we all benefit as clients have a much larger selection of properties than a singular company and are not limited in the choice of locations available. We also as a co-operative compared to a business going alone will save ££££'s on the costs, for example the cost of the exhibition, travel, hotel and food cost comes to £10,000, by working together and say five companies participate then this only represennts £2000, giving your company the same presence and share of the leads.

How does this work? Well, most clients know roughly where they would like to purchase a property and in many cases this may not be covered by yourselves. Through Partners in Property, we qualify the clients and then recommend the Estate Agent in the area of the clients interest, thus giving a fair share of the clients to each company.

The Web - We are now building our own webiste for all the Partners to benefit from and will be launched in February 2009. The sites name is Algarve Property Lifestyle and the url will be http://www.aplnet.co.uk which stands for Algarve Property Lifestyle Network.

The Internet boom over the last ten years has completely changed the way people look and buy things and it has affected companies both in a good way but also a bad way. Please see this news article regarding the effect of the web.

APLNET site will cover the whole of the Algarve including in-land areas, we further wish to expand and work with agents from other districts and provinces within Portugal to over the largest portfolio of property anywhere on the web. APLNET would list all the properties on your books and each property will have its own page with photos and video if available with a downloadable pdf file.

When we receive an enquiry on your property you will be advised so as to register the client, we will qualify the clients and go through the sales process with them, when they are in a position to make a decision we will arrange for an inspection visit and introduce your staff upon arrival.

Autodromo International do Algarve - We are investgating the cost of setting up an office at the new race circuit, this is an exciting project now open for racing and Formula 1 testing. The office would be used by all Partners in property to promote Real Estate and other services, the office will be right next to the racetrack and will have tickets available for raceday's. This may be used as part of a lifestyle tour and would include a tour of the Motor Park's facilities to help your sales staff get their clients excited and motivated to go ahead sooner rather than later.

On track/race days we would use the office to invite clients and partners to use this facility as a closing tool and for networking purposes throughout the year, so what's next?
